Question for you guys that have replaced your grill or have added the inserts. Which do you prefer the Stull billet aluminum replacing the factory honey comb or the Lund screen front(stainless steel). The Stull brand entitles you cutting out and hacking up your grill , but the Lund goes on over top of the honeycomb. The Lund brand though worrys me alittle because i am afraid it will resrict air flow through the front and not only heating up in the summer, but also resricting airflow across the condensor and the intercooler. If you have any comments and or pics be glad too hear or see them. By the way Stull and Lund are just two examples,i know that there are other brands.

A friend has the SS Lund front,it's not a screen, more like sheet metal with slots. He tows quite a bit up over the Cascade Mts. between Eastern WA and the coast and says he has had no overheating problems. It looks good and seems like it would protect all the coolers very well.

FWIW I just installed the Stull billet alum grill in my 99 3500, grill and bumper, and it looks great. It took about an hour to do and it was worth it. Unfortunately, you do have to trash the honeycomb portion of the original grill. No regrets!

I also have the Stull grill and bumper inserts. I like the looks a lot, the install was not for the faint-hearted imo... it's been on through a Baja off road trip without falling off (the phrase "Baja Tough" is very real #ad
), so I can verify the mounts are engineered correctly.
