2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Grille chrome blistered

I was looking at my truck and I notice that the grille chrome blistered, like it was a sticker and there's an air pocket under it.



What's up with that?? It just happened recently too :{

Mine's been like that for at least 3 years. It's getting worse. It's only on the passenger side, not the other. No impact marks or dings, just bubbling up. I expect the chrome will eventually break and start peeling. I doubt there's anything you can do about it except replace the grill and I imagine it will happen again. At least you're not alone.

I mentioned this problem once when I went to the Dodge dealer for something. The parts guy said the later grills were different and didn't do that. I hope so because I'm going to have to replace mine if it gets much worse.

My '01 is bubbling on the top passenger side of the grill and my buddie's '99 is also in the same spot. I've noticed other truck's also bubbling in that spot! Why is it alway's the top right!

Any one know where I can get a 99-02 sport grill that is chromed? i saw one on ebay a couple years ago, and never thought I would need it, well, with my aftermarket bumper, it would fit perfect, and of course I cant find one now!

My 01 has been blistered about three years. I figured when the chrome broke and became a snag I'd replace it. Hasn't happened yet

My grill frame isn't blistering yet but if someone came out with a billet aluminum replacement I would be one of their first customers. I already have the billet grill inserts.
