Its gettin cold here in Indiana. I need some grille opening covers. There is a post a few pages back on this forum where a guy (Eric?) was selling some plastic inserts. I emailed him but didn't get a response. You out there?

I saw a 2500 over the weekend that had black LUND covers. Any experience out there for these versions? He had them over the bumper openings too but when I looked on Lunds website, I couldn't find where they sold any for the bumper openings.

Is it wise to cover all the openings. I suppose if the temp guage reads normal, that should tell me if its getting enough air with the covers, but didn't know if that was a good way to tell.

I'd really like to get a Horton fan clutch... but these will do for now. They look "cool" too... to pun intended.

I bought Eric's covers last year, and I remember having a problem hooking up with him too. You may try a PM here on the board, or see if his ad in the classifieds section has a phone number.

I have the lund perforated on my truck (grill & bumper). Lund does make the perforated and the solid also. No major temp change in motor after install. You can also go to stealer and order a cold front for the radiator. Or build your own out of aluminum like I'm working on.

Good Luck!!

When in doubt Rammit!!!

;)

I just ordered a set from eric last week got them tuesday and installed the top two and already notice a big difference.

when it gets colder i plan on installing the bottom two

i got a hold of him through the classifieds forums and replied to his ad.

Ncostello,

Eric's inserts work good. I just got a set from him for my 02 and the truck heats up allot quicker when driving down the road after a cold start. No problems either at hywy speeds running empty @ 65 mph when it's 45 degrees out.

He's out of town four to five days a week. He's usually in town on the weekend. Send him an email and he will respond back this weekend.

Costello,

I replied to your E-mail, sorry for the long delay, I drive truck for a living and don't get to the E-mail for a few days.

If anyone is interrested in getting a set, either go to the classifieds or E-Mail me below

Eric

Big 10-4 Eric... . I'll be sending some money. I got your email too. I just hadn't opened it. Thank you for your assistance.
