Does anyone know of a company that sells chrome grille guards and light bars for the 91-93 era? My truck is a 91 W350 standard cab, long bed.

91 W350, 16g turbo, 6 inch lift w/ 35's, banks exhaust 126,000 miles

Very good looking bumpers but there around $1200 a pop, i still want to get one just don't know when i'll be able too.

Yeah they are a little spendy, but we dont have alot of options. I might just have to get one of those. I think they look good.

They look good but they are heavy! As much as we already have problems keeping the front ends up on these things, I would worry about sag unless you got some serious heavy duty springs in the front end.

Oh wait, I do!

nvmy74,

Another option for you would be a smitty built tube bumper. I know they come in black and I assume they come in chrome. They have four tabs for lights on them. They may not be the best looking bumpers but last time I looked at them they were under $300. Just another option for you.

We had Smitty's on our '66 Bronco. Tuff bumper (ripped of the sheetmetal from a F-150 pass side while turning into traffic one afternoon).

We waxed and touched up paint chips immediately. Never had a prob with rust. 'Course, ours was in the garage also.

Are the buckstops steel/aluminium? I have a http://www.reunel.com/ bumper on the front of my truck. It is a steel winch bumper with grill gaurd and head light loops. It came with tow hooks on it. It needs to be cleaned up and I will have it line-x'd in a couple of months. It weighed in a little over 300# shipping weight(no winch) It is the best money spent on the truck. I noticed no change in ride, handling or sag in the front of my truck. I have probably 50,000 miles on my skyjackers and this setup with no noticable sag. I have no worries of deer, trees, stupid farting tail pipe cars, and it adds a lot of "git outa my way" attitude to the truck. I have also had the crap yanked out of it when the truck has been stuck. It does not move. I really love rollin down the hammer lane and come up behind a car just easin along too slow. They look in the mirror, then take a double tank  and the turn signal comes on and the car moves to the right. :D Then the smoke rolls and we keep going. :D

Go to www.aliarc.com/pickupbars.html , they make grill gaurds to add to stock bumpers and full grill gaurd bumper assemblies. My dad and brother have them on their trucks, and on dad's semi. They are made out of aluminium, lightwieght, but are strong. This company builds MOOSE gaurds for semi's the same way they build gaurds for pickups. Read the testimonials, there are truck drivers that drove there semis away from hitting MEESE :D. That is amazing. Here in iowa you usually can't drive a semi away from a deer hit without substantial damage.

Jay,

I've had my nerf bars on my truck for 7 years and no rust yet. Sorry to hear you had bad luck with them. I have the front bumper on also and have never had any rust problems with it either. The only time I saw evidence of rust was from the inside. I solved that by welding caps on the end and having a friend re-powder coat it. No problems since.
