The noise is probably bearing play noise just like tesas diesel had. When you are turning corners in gear, the drivetrain is still pushing the truck in a straight line, causing force upon the rotors/hubs of the front end. When the clutch is pushed in, the truck is just coasting and there is no forward push from the drivetrain. That forward push from the drivetrain will cause the front bearings/rotors to move or flex if there is play.
Look at the backside of the front hub assembly to see if the back seal is leaking. If it is leaking, there is probably excessive play in the hub and you should have it replaced. Also look for grease slung on the inside of the front rims.
I had a bad hub at 155 miles, so it can happen...
