Tonight as I was coming home from work I could hear a groaning noise coming from the transmission area. So I played around a bit with the clutch, it only happens when I downshift and when I press the brakes while downshifting it gets even louder. I am confused on what it could be, I just replaced the clutch at 50,000 and now I have 70,000 on her now. I also change the fluid around 60,000 with rp, its done good with that in there, so i hope that its not the problem. I also checked with the dealer before putting it in so there should'nt be a problem with warranties. Any info would be most appreciated, thanks corey

Could the throw-out bearing be bad? Thats the only thing I could think of. I had a "new" one installed on a previous truck that didn't last 200 miles, and was noticeable to hear.

I get a light "groaning" from my drivetrain as well - but I'm pretty certain it's the limited slip unit clutches - it gets more noticeable in turns, is reduced once warmed up - but the LS is working quite well, and I'll sacrifice a little noise to get a good LS action...

These random noises can sometimes fool you, and not be coming from where you think they are.
