I have a groaning sound that seems to be coming from the vacuum pump and power steering pump area. It groans at idle and appears to go away when the RPMS come up, but then again I might not be able to hear it groan because of the noise. The brakes and steering feel normal, and everything that works off of the vacuum seem to be working. This sound started after I changed my axle shaft u-joints this past weekend. I turned the knuckles by hand by just grabbing onto the hub and turning it. This produced a squishing sound from the power steering pump so I stopped doing it that way and turned the wheels with the steering wheel after that, which worked fine. I am wondering if anybody else has experieced this noise and what they did to cure it.

Thanks,

Doug
