What is the FACTORY differential fluid?

How much $ to change from auto to 5 or 6 speed?

Truck isn't actually wobbling I don't think. It's just kind of a groaning wobble sound. Anyone else have or had this problem? If you did, what was the fix? Another problem I have is a clicking, grinding sound when I turn the steering wheel. This sound seems like it is in the cab, but maybe it's coming up through the steering column? What do you guys think? 72000 and starting to fall apart.

OUTBACK:

You will get more help if you tell us if you have a 4x2 or a 4x4. Totally different front ends with their own unique problems.

If the groaning noise is while you are standing still it could be your power steering pump. Have you checked the fluid level? If that clicking is heard while in motion and turning it could be the front axle u joints although 72K miles seems a little early to fail. It helps diagnosis when you describe all the conditions at the time the problem happens. Actually after rereading your post, your steering box or pump could be the culprit in both cases. Check out Dave Fritz's site for a lot of good info too. Here is the link.
