Ground Effects Package

I just ordered my 2nd 2500 QC and was looking through the 2001 Dodge Truck Accessories book and came across a really sharp looking set of running boards called "Molded Side Steps With Ground Effects Package" I like how they look... but the price $1,025 is pretty steep! Does anyone know another manufacturer that makes a similar product without the big price bite?

Check with Moparforless.com. They will save you a significant amount on the Mopar boards.

Did you price them through the dealer that you are going to buy the truck from? At my dealership we usually sell option parts like that to new vehicle purchasers at 10% over cost. I bought the packages for the cab and bed for my new 2001. 5 2500 the other day. My truck is a standard cab 8 foot bed and they cost the dealer $335. 00 for each set. The package for the extended cab may be a little higher but not much. See if you can get them to give you a discount. Sounds like they gave you list price.
(edit) By the way I got the impression this was just for the parts. Was this installed? If it is it isn't really a bad price.
