Are first gens supposed to have a grounding strap from the engine to the frame? And if so where would it attach on the engine?

I ask because one of the bolts that attaches the left side (driver) motor mount assembly to the block was loose on mine. I left the nut loose some time ago for some reason... and I keep thinking I once had a ground strap there. But can't remember. :( I left it like this to remind me of something. Thats what I get!

Or should I ask... does anything attach to the left side motor mount besides the engine? :)

Not that I have seen I know there is a ground strap from back of motor to body . ?I believe the bolt on motor mount is for a clamp that hold's Positive cable going to starter ?

Thats it!! Thanks. I know exactly where its at in my garage too. I built new battery cables when I had the truck down for some R&R and decided to not use that bracket. I just forgot where it attached too. :)

The only ground I've ever seen at the back of the motor on this fairly original D250 is a ground that comes out of the harness along the fire wall that attaches to the firewall behind the #6 valve cover area. I pulled out the entire harness (all of it) and un-wrapped and re-wrapped all of it with new tape. Just so the engine bay would look nice. :) Turned out nice.
