Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) ground

do i need to remove the ground on the batterie also to reset the computer thanks

When unhooking the batteries, I always unhook the ground side first.

You only need to remove the grounds. That completey disconnect the batteries from the vehicle and is much safer than disconnecting the hot side. You cannot get an arc from your wrench to a grounded part if the grounds are all you disconnect. Hope this helps!
