NV4500 Shift Tower Question

dalealexander

Did you get the turbotimer fixed? What was it. Where did you get your box I know edge was closed but your dealer wasent available.

We have not had any problems with boxes that we have shipped but there is always that chance if any of our customers have a problem please do not heistate to call.

The Turbo timer started working when I plugged my alarm module but in. I removed to alarm to get better access to the firewall. I guess it must use something related to the dome light or Power locks because those systems were not working with the alarm removed. I have one question though. I set the turbo timer to time when I was playing with it. It seems to operate intermittenly i. e. does not activate every time I shut down. Is there a certain EGT temp that must be exceeded before it operates? It seems that if I exceed 1000 degrees it operates, but I am not sure if it does everytime.

Dennis,

Check the spare fuse connection under the hood, I had to mod mine slightly to get it to make a good connection, then I went a different route with it ... the little brass clip thingy's that slide onto the fuse are junk ... I used fuse extenders for both power conections ... Grounds and power must be 100% for reliablity and the two clips that come with the kit are a waste of time, just my $0. 02 (non tax deductable) :-laf

I have not noticed any better bottom end power ... top is great though :D

I get a bit more smoke up until the 1600 - 1700 rpm and then it clears as the boost comes up.

Kevin

Ya . . I would like to know how level 6 works out too ... PM me the price they charge to unlock the beast ... don't need it yet . . but will soon Oo.

Thanks

I am not picking up the truck until tomorrow so i will try to post tomorrow night, I dont know the price, it was a "favor". But I believe it is just an RPM extension like the Drag Comp

It is like the drag comp upgrade. And if your favor costs you any money they got ya cause any TDR members can download the form from edges website and get the hot program for free. Just for those that are interested, and no i cant send them in before they are sent to you they need your member # on the form.

No I didnt spend any money and I got mine at cost as well so I feel I am money ahead. Heck of a deal on the upgrade for TDR members though everyone better get on this.

so u dont have to send it in or do u? i read all u have to do is punch a code to unlock it. . right? need clarity. .

is that the hot juice upgrade? still wondering if u have to send it in?

found out. . all u have to do is download the form on there website and fax it in... they call with the # to unlock the hot juice.

and the best part... its free to tdr members :-laf

Chuck,

Just got back from the maiden voyage ... All I can say is WOW ... :--)

Great product, going back out to play some more

Kevin

Kevin,

I noticed you have the escort radar detector, if you get some phone line and cut one end off, run the center conductors to key on power, you can use the phone line to power it up and not have that cord stretched over your dash. I ran mine up the A pillar and out the headliner. I just figured it out and thought you might want to know

Elandon,

Thanks for the tip ... I was looking for a way at doing that in the next couple of weeks, I am getting somewhat cluttered under the dash with wiring so am looking into a painless kit and going to redo all my under dash accesories wiring to tidy it up some, also going to be hard wiring my invetor into the cab ... soooo everything should be neat and tidy and have as much wiring hidden :)

I just drove from Ft Worth, TX to Denver, CO ... had the juice set at 3. 3 the whole trip cruising at 70MPH in TX and 80MPH in NM + CO and averaged 19. 8MPG ... impressed me :D
