Who out there is using the HT3B from HTT in their twins setup?

thanks

just talked to htt, the turbo we can get is the bht3b with 26cm undivided exhaust housing, or 23cm divided housing. the turbo with 23cm housing also has a slightly smaller shaft and spools a little bit quicker. the 23 also has the clamp style compressor outlet. like where our turbos connect to the elbow. price will be $406. 6?. plus shipping. questions? please pm me.

This is sounding interesting.

What is the advantage of divided versus undivided? (besides the size issue)

The B2 is reverse rotation. the BHT3B is used in several twin setups. It works great.

Swank, what quantity did HTT say you needed to get a good discount?

Fred,

Actually the HT3B's are reverse rotation as indicated by the T in all of Holsets turbos. HT60 and HT82 are other examples as well. Standard rotation is like our stock turbos. So a B2 is standard rotation.

Actually I still have the Big Brother on my '02 truck for right now but it will probably come off in favor of a smaller set like I ran before. The big brother likes fuel and the stock vp's just dont have enough. Now if I ever get a true hot rod vp then it might be a decent turbo for the track.

Swank,

Yes it is top secret stuff on my 04. 5. Stefan is refering to my 04. 5 not my 02.

Stefan,

I actually had the TST on when we hit 1280* as well as the downloader and EDM's. With the downloader only it wont go past 1100* even pulling my work trailer.

I recently purchased a HTB2 62/12 wastegated from HTT. Any idea if this would work well with the BHT3B on the bottom?? If so I may be a mabee in the group purchase. Thanks for the info. As a side thought I just ordered some stage 3 Jammer injector nozzles would these fuel decently enough to spin that combo? Just looking for cool air for towing.

The highest I've dynoed with all my trucks is listed in my signature. I haven't dynoed with the downloader yet but it makes slightly more boost now so I'd guess there might be a few more ponies there.

Has anyone tried an hx 60 with a 23 divided housing yet. A cousin of mine has one laying around at his scrap yard, everything looks good on it. The compressor on that monster is huge. I cant believe it will even fit between the rails. Just thinking of some different stuff to try. Heck its free if I want it. I've got an Ht 3b on my truck right know, sure made it alot of fun to drive, have fun guys.

just got an update. they're cheaper now. i just sent a bunch of pm's. if you did NOT get one and you're SERIOUSLY interested, pm me and i will get you details.

Im interested in this one but not sure if im ready for twins yet. HTT said that this turbo was to big to use as a single. Is anyone using twins everyday and towing with them?? I make alot of long distance trips with this truck with a 40 gooseneck. Was thinking of using my stock hx-35 and the bht3 on the bottom is anyone running this or close.

matt always the optimist :D I can just se the state highway patrol when he gets me stopped with a 40GN and a fiberglass pool and i tell him holeshotholset said i had to keep it at 6000+ :-{}

That 35/ht3b would be a good setup for about 60psi of boost anything after that normally produces a lot of drive pressure which is not good. Most of my experience sees that setup 1-1 until 60psi and then it starts going up and a fast rate.

A lot of folks use the HX35-12 and a BHT3B for towing and drag racing. It would work extremely well for your application.

The rotation on the HT3b anb BHT3B are the same, counter clockwise. the outlet points toward the fender when installed.

Here are pics of a BHT3B-26 with an HX35/40-14.
