Couple more questions:

How long did shipping take on the windows?

Could someone PM me with what they paid on the group buy?

I realize I'm a little late, but I see that the price on their website is still pretty good.

Spooled-up,

No, it is not a simple three position switch. It reverses polarity to the motor. I think I have found a BMW window switch that will be perfect and illuminated. I just need to figure out how to hook it up. I am working on that.

I got mine in about two days. It was drop shipped from their factory to me, same state, by UPS.

PM SOLER, maybe he can get you the same deal:rolleyes: The discount was not that much, but the price on the Truckin' In Style web site was the best I found.

I used mine to day and all I can say is... . :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

kentdiesel,

That is a good place to mount the switch. Never thought of there, nice and out of the way. If I hadn't already run the wires to the overhead console... ..... well it is done. I have the switch temporally wired there till I install the BMW switch.

Cary, keep us posted on that switch.

Can you believe, I still don't have mine in yet:(

My life is too hectic right now. Things have just started to slow again, but I have to do everything outside and the weather stinks high heaven all week. Oh well. I also have a stator in my '85 Honda Shadow to do, and the weather isn't cooperating.

I got my headache rack primered today. I should have it painted and finished when it's not raining

I might just break down and take the truck and have a window shop guy install mine. $75. Kind of wanted to save this $$, but at least I'd have it in. The bad thing is I went and bought the silicone and the primer to do this, and that alone cost about $35.

As far as prices, the last I checked the price on the website is the current, though he will give TDR members a little break. If ya want, I can email him and see what happens. Although, he's going to laugh at me when he asks how I like mine and I have to tell him the white box looks bad behind my living room couch! :D

My wife is ticked!!

Forrest,

I ran the motor wires up under the rear panel, along the passenger side headliner to the front visor to the overhead console. I had all of the rear interior and headliner out to install the window, so it was easy. I ran the power, ground and hot, up the passenger front column. It was easiest there with out gauges. Lots of room for wires. I did put a couple of extra wire for future stuff. I also ran a phone cord for my Valentine One. Now no more hangy down wires. ;)

Ok guys, I need a solid rear window for
a 04. 5 My trk. came with a slider and I'd like to swap. Any help would be
apreciated!! Thanks, Sam

SOLER,

The glass shop I used only charged me $20 for the install kit. I guess I got another great deal. But I did pay $30 for the windshield knife to cut the rear window out that I will probably never use again.

I keep you informed about the switch. Hard to find just one switch. I was lucky to run across this one if it works. :{

I planned ahead and made my headache rack out of Stainless Steel..... no paint. Oo.

I guess I need to learn how to weld SS. I have the welder that will do it, I just need to get the adapters

Finally getting around to installing the power slider. Curious if any 3rd Gen owners used one of the deadhead switch locations next to the heated seat switches on the dash?

I got in late on the GP and missed out on the GP price. I e-mailed Rob though, and he gave me a price just $20 over the Group Purchase price! The window is on the way. My problem is getting the glass installed. Most places I call want 100 or so to remove the old and set the new. Is this about right? I saw that one member took his old glass out himself to save some $. Is this pretty difficult?

The places I call sometimes ask how much I paid for the window. They're all pretty surprised that I got it so cheap!:D

Spooled-up,

I paid $55. 00 to have my old window taken out and the slider put in. This was done by Binswanger Glass which is a National Chain.

They thought the price we paid was a good deal also.

3rd Gen guys

You guys with 3rd gen Crew Cabs, where did you mount your motor? I am trying to figure out where to put it where it won't interfere with the seat, seat belts, and the folding floor board.

I tried the overhead console for the switch, but that little panel between the lights isn't a separate panel, and has a ridge behind it that fits up in the piece on the ceiling. I might just cut it up, but am looking for other alternatives first.

Thanks.

This has got to be one of the best additions. It's definately getting a workout.

I just need to move the switch from under the dash, up to be 'right there' / easy reach.

Oo.

Here's another...

With the seat out of course...

I used a piece of pine and spray painted it black. Mounted the motor to it, and fastened it to the back wall.
