Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Wanna race, but not travel?
I am trying to make it easier to become a racer in the DHRA without having to commit to travelling across the nation. Some of our Divisions are huge. To minimize the travel and maximize the interest I thought we'd try something different in 2004.
I want to set up member tracks. The idea being that a track signs on to host a number of points races for that respective division points series. The person with the most points at that track would go compete against the other division track points winners for the divisional title. That winner would then go to the National Finals to compete for the National title. This will only work if we have 10 or more racers in each area. If I have enough racers in each state, I will call the local track and set it up for next year. If not, we might be able to work in a few "test tracks" and wait for the interest to grow. So, if you would be interested in this EMAIL ME! If you and your friends are hitting the local track regularly let me know so I can set it up. Even if you aren't a member of the TDR and are interested, email me. All of the Division Directors will be looking into interest during the races this year.
