2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Growling PS Pump

I have a growling PS pump, whats up with it? It seems to work fine about 98%of time. The other 2% the steering seems to lose some of the power assist. This is a stock truck with stock '01 w/42000miles. Dealer told me it was fine but should I be concerned for warranty issues?

Find some Valvoline power steering fluid (I cannot remember the marketing name). This stuff has super conditioners



Change as much of the fluid in the reservoir that you can and run the truck for a few minutes. Change the reservoir again and call it good. Drive the truck for a few miles and the noise should quiet down.

I used Lucas PS Stop Leak when mine was noisy. Did the trick.
