Almost finished my GSK install last night. I had to remove the fuel shutoff solenoid linkage from the side of the pump. By "had to" I mean I don't think there is any way the access plug was going past the arm... fiddled with it for about an hour. Well the fuel shutoff linkage arm came off easy enough. Just as easy was LOSING THE TINY KEY that was in the keyway on the shutoff linkage shaft on the side of the pump. Looked for hours and couldn't find it... sure it's under the hood somewhere.
To the point. Anyone know if there's anything special about this key? Does it have to be brass... or some other special metal? I was able to figure out it's basic dimensions from the "void" it left... . If anyone knows specifically what to ask for from the parts counter... that would sure help.
Here's a picture of the armand the exact spot the key goes if anyone is wondering what I'm talking about.
Thanks for the comments/help,
Gill
