OK, I have searched high and alow and pretty much everywhere in between, and am still coming up with a big nothing. Does anybody know of someone that sells complete guage clusters for our trucks or possibly rebuilds them??

What might be the problem? I have an '87 gasser I'm parting out. I assume you're talking factory gauges?

Yes, a factory cluster is what I am looking for. One of the previous owners of the truck must have had some issues with it and pulled the panel out and really messed it up... The speedometer needle is no longer present, temp guage might as well be non-existent, and most of the receptacles for the screws holding every thing in place are broken off and gone, among other issues.

Phillipsbc, I will look at my truck this weekend. Weather's supposed to be fantastic. I think the whole cluster is in it without the woodgrain face. I was going to keep for spare, but if someone needs it before me (like you do) I'd rather sell it than store it. I'll let you know.

phillipsbc-

Fill out your signature so we know what you have. The 87 gauges may not work, as the speedometer is different (cable driven in older ones- replaced by electronic in 90 or so. My 90 has the electronic; bgilbert's 90 was cable driven). I dont know about the other gauges. I'd say start calling junkyards- the gauges should be the same regardless of fuel type.

OK. Checked out the dash and here's what I got in the old '87. The cluster looks good and the lense is nice with no broken screws. The speedo is cable-driven. This is from a good ole 3 speed automatic 727. This means it has the PRND21 indicator slide at the bottom. I bought this truck for parts and ran it long enough to get it off the trailer and around to my shop in back. The speedo did work (I only went about 5 mph). The fuel moved a small amount. (tank's about empty) The oil went up to 5/8 quickly. The odometer in the 87, and my 89 do not have a digit for the hundred-thou miles. I'm not sure what year they added the extra digit. Go ahead and PM me if you want for more specifics.

Thanks.

I have the electric speedo, so I'm thinking that one's probably not going to work too well... :{ Thanks for the help though, I guess the search continues.
