I personally do not like the pillar mounted guages, has anyone mounted them in an overhead location or on the dash where either the cigerette lighter is or in the blank where the air bag on/off switch would be in the reg cabs?

I think the best location would be right above the dash vent (to the right of the instrument panel) but not sure what to fabricate the mount/holder out of... ...

As always pictures are worth a thousand words.

Thanks, I saw that picture in the readers rigs. Very good install!

I am being picky and want to keep that stock cubby hole for other things.

Any one else?

I saw somebody that had a brake controller where the air bag turn off swith would be... how about a guage there.

I have built in guages in my Blue Chip, all digital, but I am thinking of getting some regular mechanical ones too, for other things.

Are you guys that make your own custom mounts using a matching painted plate to make flush with the bezels?

Do the bezels screw onto the guage to hold them in place or does the entire guage slip into the just-right-size hole?

Thanks!

I put a duel gage ina a single pilar mount and one gage in a

bullet mount on top of my dash centered with the stearing

wheel. I think it looks good and have had alot of compliments. :D
