I want to add guages to my 2003 SLT, where are you guys installing yours. Can you show some Pictures? I am adding at least a boost and egt guage.

Thanks

I have boost and EGT on the pillar also. Eventually, I want to add a fuel pressure, rear diff temp, and manual transmission temp, and will probably go with the cubby hole mount for those three.

Don't mean to rob this thread. Does anybody have any pics of their fuel gauge hook-up's? Where you tapped into(Lift pump&rail).

The Isspro EGT and boost gauges on my 05 are mounted on the pillar.

Soon to add transmission temp but

Undecieded whether to put transmission gauge on pillar or column.

guage mounts

Thanks for the pic's. Wanted to see different styles, also wanted to save the use of the grab handle on the pillar. Any use over head or dash mount?

If you get the SRT-10 pillar like in the first pic, you'll have the grab and a spot for one gauge. I had a thread going a while ago- and I'm still waiting to do it... That pillar with the Westach EGT/boost combo.

I understand them to be premium and originally made for aircraft. Another thing I was going to do was to put the low fuel pressure warning kit LED right next to that gauge (just enought room).

Here's some more options for you to consider...

The mounting is not done on the overheads, but you kindof get the idea...

I chose this route, because I wanted to keep the grab handle as well. The three on the dash probably offer the easiest viewing, followed by the one on the a-pillar. The column mounted gauges are easy to see, but cause you to shift focus from the road, to a very close object. The overheads house things that change more slowly (diff temps, trans temp, etc).

Do you guys with the steering column mounted gauges have any trouble seeing the Odometer and Gear selector displays? I am thinking of going that route with the SRT-10 mount and two on the column. Thanks.

Can't say for sure about the gear selector display as mine is a manual, but if the display is centered between the two column gauges, it shouldn't be a problem.

However, the odometer does sit directly behind one of the column gauges. It can still be seen, but you have to somewhat look around the gauge. The odometer can also be seen on the overhead (trip meter), and oil pressure seemed more important to monitor for me.

What is blocked or not, would also depend entirely on what position you have your steering wheel in, and seat height as well.

MAy I ask where you purchased your overhead mount?
