Archived guages are dead

i was driving home in the rain and the abs light came on then all the guages went dead the oddometer start to blink and then said "no bus" . then check guage light came on and also the trans light. any ideas i hope this qualifies for the 911 thread, if not please move this thanks

Sounds like you got some splash back up in the engine compartment. You probably will need to get some compressed air, contact cleaner, and some dielectric grease and pull and clean all of your connections under the hood. It was probably just the main ECM connector that got wet, and hopefully it did not short anything out, but I would still do them all to be safe.

i went to auto zone they said it threw a 1698 code that said auxilary input and auxilary out put any ideas?

"No CCD/J1850 From TCM", pertains to transmission signals. and "No CCD Messages received from PCM", Buss communication failure to PCM. bg

tool man i read that thread and it was like i was reading german what does all that mean if you could try and explain it in laymans terms please!?!?

Well I had a wicked electrical issue with my truck that started producing a brutal hesitation (Under load / even coasting) and guages quiting / NoBuS display , and general poor performance all around. This Thread shows what I have done and what led me to do so.



What it came down to is poor electrical connections (Grounds mainly) Main engine ground / chassis ground / and finaly battery connections. And to this day she has been flawless.
