I made it out of a plastic project box I picked up at the local electrics parts house (Fry's) It already had a textured finish that matched the stock guage panel. I think it was less than $10. Radio shack also my have one big enough. I left the cubby in behind it as it holds the new face in place. I did have to cut it though to allow for the wires. Since the center dash is curved - this is my second attempt - I orginally had the guages spaced in the center - but that made the guage on the right hard to read. This version has the guages off to the left and seems to be more visable.

I was going to do the same thing but it wouldn't work with the Dipricols. Their faces are recessed about 1/4" to 3/8 into the gage and I couldn't see most of the gages from the drivers seat (I'm 5'10"). I'm returning them and installing a single pillar mounted Westach to monitor boost and pyro.

Also a warning about the Dipricols, Their backlighting IS NOT the same color as our factory gages - its very green.

I did pretty much the same, also mounted the Jordan controller. I used steel plate to fit the curve, then covered with black gloss vinyl. I want to try some slant rings made from PVC slices next time I am bored and looking for something to do to angle the gauges up and left a little.

Didn't Quadzilla come out with a three gauge mount for the cubby hole? I thought I remembered something about that from earlier this year? All of the pictured mounts look great, maybe PM'ing you all for install tips in a few months. Nice work!

Gauges

I put mine in the air vents. I have a 2001 the vents are where your radio is. The back plate that I used was a blank plate from a stereo shop for cars. Eric
