I just got done installing an Autometer Pyrometer, Fuel Pressure and a DiProcol Rail pressure guage. The rail pressure guage seems to work ok. The 2 autometer just seem to pick a spot and stay there, the fuel pressure guage is stuck at 20psi and the egt doesn't move (for a pre-turbo that's not right). None of the 3 guages go to 0 when the truck is turned off. Any ideas?

I put an autometer gauge kit in and my egt gauge does the same thing. I installed the probe in the manifold, pre-turbo. This is the second egt gauge I put in because I was having trouble with the first one. However, they both did the same thing, they dont go lower than 200 degrees when the truck is turned off.

I dont think its a problem, the gauges in my dads f-350 do the same thing.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Park your truck at the North Pole and your egt might get to zero in a few weeks. The probe is measuring what's there, and it's still cozy inside the manifold.

try running your ground to a spot under the dash, there might be a screw that you could use under the dash, i dont know much about the 3rd gens yet. and if you have a brake booster, try using the hot side for your 12 volt source. i used mine and it seems to work well. also, the 12 volt for your lights can be run to a spot in your fuse panel, try finding one that turns on and off with the dash lights. hope this helps.

the autometer stepper motor gauges will pick a spot to stop when you kill the power to them. it is normal. your cigg lighter plug only has power when the truck is in run or acc. .

i think the pricol is also a stepper motor gauge, so it might react in the same way. when there is power there, they will read what the sensor/transducer is telling it to show [pressure or temp]

I have an Autometer C2 and it goes to zero everytime I start the truck and it stay with what ever the egt reading is after I shut the truck down.
