Brake problems, driving me CRAZY

95 powerstroke only goes 50mph

Bad ole JyRO has struck again. So now, not only do most of the TDR not like me (booo-hoooo :{ ), especially the "big" guys, but now the Ford guys don't like me either. I do have a few TDR buddies, awwwww who I'm I kiddin', everybody loves JyRO. :D Check this out:

Honestly I like the PSD, and the 6. 0L. But until they get the bugs, gremlins, glitches, quirks, leaks, romp-romps, and other problems worked out with it, I wouldn't have one. And boy... do they make a big deal out of the music the 24V makes. :rolleyes:

I have briefly checked out the Duramax forums, spent a considerable bit on the Fords, and have been to he!! and back here (for good reason:) ). This seems to be the only site where a vast majority of the members DO NOT get on the brand bashing wagon, nor do they attack their fellow members outright (transmission and oil threads excluded). TDR members also appear to be a little more educated about the competitors trucks (problems, fixes and so on) than the others. I have yet to read anywhere on the other sites why they hate the CTD's other than the name, and the idle noise (???) IMO, if they want quiet, buy a gasser.



I am half tempted to register with the Ford site(s) and flat out ask why they have such a problem with the Dodge. Give me specific reasons (reliability, power, anything). Not just noise and looks (this makes me a hypocrite, as that is why Chevy was never an option in my purchase) I think this is where your "Prom Queen" quote fits real good. Pretty to look at, a lot of fun for a night, way too high maintenance to marry - will take all your money and leave you broke with nothing to show for it in the end, and will probably cheat on you at the drop of a hat.



I have been convinced for quite some time that if lined up side by side, there is no HUGE difference between the trucks power. If there was a 75HP and 150Ft# Trq difference, then yeah, that would be noticeable. Who is easier (and cheaper) to beef up? Who is more reliable? Who is easier to maintain?



If I could build the ultimate perfect 3500 truck, Dodge front end w/Cummins ETH/DEE and drive train, Ford full four door crew cab, and a Chevy dually bed (they at least have a smooth one piece fender) If I can find matching colors and profile shots of all three, I will at least cut and paste that to look at.

I thought those were good post JYRO especially telling them to use their foot for max mileage. That cruise will kill them towing. I thought you were balanced and measured in your response.

Do you think Super Duty John really gets 14 mpg loaded pulling 13,000# @ 72 mph. and 14-15 mpg empty doing 75 mph. :D
 
Hey JyRo,I just got "Hammered" over there too for "Pitching"the Dodge Cummins :rolleyes: . There is alot of good guys over there but there are some blind Ford loyalist A-HOLES too:mad: . Look under the "do autos hold diesel power thread". I go by my initials over there "FDF"... Doug
 
They called me a troll and my access disappeared :( All I ever did was mention some of the problems I saw with the Ford trucks :confused: Then they started calling me names. A month later when I tried to log back in my membership had been terminated. So now I'm stuck with you guys :D

Go love yourselves to death?!? Lack of interest in Dodge?!? They have all the attention right now because it's like watching a train wreck with that new 6. 0.
 
I am going to be buying a truck soon... and i really considered the ford. So i joined all of the ford and dodge diesel forums i could to learn about them. it just seems that most of the ford guys are @ssholes and dont and wont believe things that are proven true here on planet earth. the fact that the 6. 0 is having a lot of problems, and the people i would be conversing with was not very comforting, and besides, the dodge has everything and more that i want in a configuration i want rather than "if you get this you have to get this" bull crap. all this just makes me love the dodge more and more everyday... and having decent people that are really out there to help is a nice bonus. you guys rock!:cool:
