Guess, I dare you, what I was offered for a trade in value of my truck?

2006, 56k, auto, SLT, black, Quad cab, 4x4, MINT.

I owe 13k.

Which means I would've had to give 6k down just to start from 0.

HAHAHAHAHA.

I'll hold on to it, high fuel prices or not.

It's definitely a BUYER'S market at present for trucks like these - just think how the Ford and GM owners must feel when they try to sell or trade with their even higher priced trucks...:-laf

You're serious... 7K?

There's dozens of people here that would give you that amount, heck I'd dare say even your payoff value sight unseen.

Heck..

,,, had some guy in OKC the other day wanting to trade me staight across... his 2008 2wd dually with 31k miles for my 03 4wd dually with 208k. ALMOST did it! Think for Xmas this year I may go new truck shopping , go back to Oklahoma or Texas and pick up a new truck or two!

You were wise to keep it. Yours does not have and will never have to have a catalytic converter. You get WAY better fuel economy than the new ones and your engine is WAY simpler. You were very wise to keep your much simpler, much more reliable and more fuel efficient '03. Its good to see you did not make a choice you would certainly regret later.

True, at least I know what I have... a 6 speed that no one can seem to build right, if i drop the commercial deal, way cheaper insurance. Sad part is this is like the third time in the past 2 months I've been offered a newer rig, and I always had the signs on the truck, meaning it was working.

Keep 'em.

I think we're in a "it's cheaper to keep 'em" situation, similiar to some of my friends who went through a divorce. :)

Cheap shot, Gary, LOL!!! I'm trying to fix this long-running mistake I made. There's not a day that goes by that I'm not kicking myself in the butt for getting rid of my 2005.

Why is it that we, as men, have to cut off our noses just to spite our faces sometimes?

On a good note, my wife said that I can look for another Dodge, after we settle on our house in October... . in the meantime, my Powerjoke Ferd sits in the shop..... #@$%!

But thats what the desert is good for Mine shaft's kinda like out of site out of Mine lol:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf

I'll give you TWICE what the dealer was offering. :D

Is your truck a 3500 dually? I know someone who might be interested in buying it at a fair price if it is a dually.

Wow

I just picked up my truck used for 26000 and the dealer was crying about that price I don't feel bad anymore if they are offering that.

Im looking at trading my 06 with all the incentives they got going right now..... found a dealer in KS that will do a 10k dealer discount on top of the incentives!!!!!!! I was offered 20,500 at the local dealer for mine with 53k on it... . DAMN..... if i could get that in KS I could afford to go upside down on mine and still finance well less than 40k on a new 50k truck!!!!! Seriously considering this one
