8-way power seat...

12V engine noise reduction efforts...

My dog interrupted a break-in at my neighbors house. She barked so emphatically and ferociously everyone came out of their houses at 1am to see what was the matter. Guy came running out my neighbors front door (neighbors were home too!) gets in his car and drives off. We all (3 people from 3 houses) give cops description of person, car, and license plate -- plus they have fingerprints from basement window front where he pushed it in; backside where he closed it; and inside of basement wall where he braced himself going in. Cops track down car; car matches description but driver doesn't. Cops say case is over; despite having prints and description the case is dropped. Cops too lazy to find out who he loaned the car to.

I get hit and runned while sitting in my parked car in a parking lot. Have description and half a dozen witnesses. Cops couldn't care less.

Car gets hit and runned while I'm in store. Three witnesses. Cops couldn't care less.

Ex-wife files false child abuse claim; cops show up en-force, barricade street, demand entry to my home to check on kids. Cops destroy records of the event so I can't file affidavit against ex filing a false police report.

Ex-wife shows up at my home while I'm at work and tries breaking in. When can't; starts screaming, kicking door, etc. Despite having a restraining order against ex-wife when my wife calls cops they tell her they can't do anything until she actually breaks in.

File to get restraining order re-instated. Judge points out I'm bigger then her and I should "handle it". Hmmm; what'd he mean by that?

Get a traffic citation; call prosecutor's office to inquire about reducing. Told "Why would we help? We're out to get you. "

It's not just the cops; it's the attorneys and judges too.

RE: Restraining order on X

Been there, done that. I got her locked up though.

She was beating on the door, and in the process, cracked it by the lock, so I, being the great guy I am, unlocked the door at that point so she could walk in. I then locked the door back and called 911. The police are at the corner of my street and were there in a flash. It appeared that she had forced her way in. She was charged with domestic violence for hitting me, b&e, and tresspassing. Needless to say, She absolutely refuses to come near my home now.

Sounds like a drug bust confiscation.

If he saw the twin turbos, then whats the problem w/ the story? You know it hauls a$$. Sounds like the officer's story was a little exxagerated thats all.

I know my truck is still pulling good at 105, so a twin turbo'd one would make a great trooper rig. Good economy w/ speed at the press of the go pedal. Can carry equipment too! Would be great in the flat lands. Wouldnt handle turns worth beans though.

WOW, what a thread! I think everybody has had good and bad experiances with the cops, with Dodge dealers, aftermarket venders, insurance people, the geek that fixes the computors ect. I can tell you from being on both sides of the fence that attitude plays a large part on the service that you get from anywhere. When I worked in a "outlaw" Harley shop for close to 10 years and looked like a biker I had several "run- ins" with the police, some good, others bad and others where they could have thrown me under the jail but didn't and actually helped fix what could have been a bad situation. In '92 I got hired on here as cop(better benifits) and you know what, it's no different on the other side of the fence. I can p**s just as many people off as a cop as when I had a beard and long hair! When I worked at the shop I managed to get a Masters degree in Criminal Justice administration and took a second place here in the Oklahoma State Powerlifting meet in the 220 class. I still ride my bikes and once in a while I still get stopped:) . By the way the more tickets and warnings given the less accidents, this is a proven fact. Are there lazy cops? You bet! Just like there are lazy people in any profession. If you don't get treated like you think you should have, call and talk to a supervisor, file a compliant. Believe it or not WE want to know if one of the guys(or ladies) is acting unprofessional and we want the bad apples gone. Will the system ever be perfect? nope, no more then anything else. I still stand by my earlier post if you've never worn the badge, you don't know the whole story.
