Have any TDR members attended Gunsite courses? What are your thoughts on the training quality verses cost ect.

I took there basic and advanced pistol courses back in 1981 and 1982. They have changed owners since then. It was some really super training!!!!!

I took the shotgun and basic pistol courses in 1994. There is nothing like the sound of 00 buckshot hitting steel. Tactical clearing the mock house is a fun experience also. All of the trainers and personnel seemed very profesional. Most are ex Navy Seals, military, or police. Dick(Richard) Marcinco even had a book signing while I was there.

East Coast Schools

Gunsite is kinda far for us out here- Blackwater in Moyock NC is an excellent facility created by ex- Seals with a commitment to training military, police and citizens of good will- check out their website www.blackwaterlodge.com- I have enjoyed several reactive steel courses, tactical pistol, houseclearing at a truly great modern facility mine were taught by Jody Taylor a NC Swat cop and currently on the USA network s "Combat Missions" watch him Wednesdays at 10:00 EST and Fridays at 8:00 Est- also shot several courses taught by D. R. Middlebrooks ( 2001 IDPA Enhanced Service Pistol National Champion) at his Tactical Shooting Academy in Surry Va- check him out at www.tacticalshooting.com- also check out Bennie Cooleys website he is in Idaho and is a USPSA and National 3 Gun champion- he does courses on pistol, carbine and defensive tactics all over the country- what about a TDR group discount for all diesel driving pistoleros???Oo.
