Has anyone else noticed a gurgling sound coming into the cab just over 2000 rpm? I swear it wasn't there until my wife went up through the gears and grabbed 4th instead of 6th:mad:

There's no noticeable sound from under the hood, but it's detectable in the cab. Methinks a possible clutch item? Maybe a throwout bearing? It sounds almost as if something it supposed to fit snugly on a shaft, and now it vibrates above 2K rpm. It's a low pitched sound the you'd swear was someone draining the cooling system with a shop-vac, or slurping it out with a straw.

The irony of course it that I am running dd2s and an EZ, yet the stock clutch dies from a bad shift, not from the hp!

Yeah, when pulling our 5th wheel, you get some funny noises that sound like they're coming from under the passenger side dashboard when you're laying into it and the revs are climbing over about 2100-2200 in the lower and intermediate gears. Sometimes it sounds like water sloshing in the heater core piping circuit. Sometimes it sounds like aerodynamic noise in the turbo inlet piping (it did it with the stock airbox and does it with the BHAF). It's done it since day 1 and the truck hasn't blown up yet. I've noted a number of other posts over the years that mention this same type noise, so I guess it must be somewhat normal.
