Gutless truck; what's best to boost HP's, reduce EGT's?

I just posted that the truck (04. 5) has thrown a code and that the truck is very gutless, especially towing the horse trailer.

After I have the code issue fixed, I'd like something to bump up the HP a bit and something to reduce the EGT's ~150-200˚. What's out there that would be the best way to accomplish that mission?



All suggestions welcome. Hills that I climb include the Grapevine in SoCal with the horse trailer around 14K lbs.

For your situtation I would look at the Edge Juice with Attitude. 5 power levels adjustable on the fly and a whole lot of gauges. You will probably want to add a trans temp and maybe a fuel pressure gauge though. Some people will say Smarty but then you are on your own for gauges and you can not adjust the power level on the fly.

bigger exhaust system help to lower egt's ,helps eliminate back pressure. the air intake system starting from bigger air filter to turbo and then bigger and more efficient air cooler (which should make a noticeable difference up the grades)and then a bigger air ram. that all should help with cooler more dense air,lowering the egt's,better mileage,less restricted motor,more power and torque. if boost is up to 30-'s is what you may need for the torque to tow.
