Guymon, Oklahoma

Looks like I'll be doing a pipeline job out of Guymon starting in August. Since it's about 700 miles from home I won't be driving home often.



Anyone familiar with the area, anything to do like fishing, hunting, explore on horseback, etc. ? Looking at the map, it's easy to see why the area used to be called nomans land back in the 1800s, LOL.

WOW, looking at MS streets and trips it looks like there is not a whole lot there except for the lake to the east and a smaller one to the west.

The way that the roads are numbered makes the area look rather desolate.

Dude there is nothing Guymon... ... period. Now you you might like the farming area but if you really want to go do something go to Amarillo.

Man, you guys paint quite the sad picture, LOL. Usually on these jobs you don't get a lot of free time. It can be daylight to dark, with Sundays off. Guess free time can be used to sip on a cool one and read. By the way, you can buy a beer in Guymon,,,, right?
