I installed my . 45 skyjacker lift. Still running stock pitman arm. I obviously need a dropped pitman arm. What are you guys running? I called superlift and skyjacker and their normal 2-3 dropped arms are stock pitman arms with the taper backwards so the drag link is on the bottom instead of the top. The arm is the same length as stock...

any recomendations? How is your steering after your pitman arm?

I'll look at mine later when I get back to the shop. I thought it came with a real drop pitman arm, not just a flopped mount...

With a bit of positive caster (I just eyeballed the lower arm offset washers) the steering is no worse than stock. I have the DSS on it with the Skyjacker top bracket, never had a death wobble, although it felt close a couple times on bumpy highways...

I musta got lucky, cause with 35k miles on my BFG mudders, I just had to flop the tires on each wheel and get a good Road Force balance (front tires were wearing a bit more to the outside edges). I was gonna have the alignment done professionally, but why mess with an adequate arrangement that seems 5x better than most...

I had a 4. 5" Skyjacker suspension on my truck for a while. While you are correct about the pitman arm. It does have stock drop, but you do relocate the drag link to the underside. This gives it around a 3" drop.

There is no issue regarding the length of the drag link as this is an adjustable part.

My steering was more precise than stock and I hope to go back to a setup like the one I had.
