Are there any regular driving issues with the stage 1 & stage 2 CP3 pumps ? Can you notice much of a difference when driving around town ? Does it get louder ? Does it idle any different ? Thanks

I did my own CP3 with the FCA mod and porting the pump. No ill effects at all. Just have to take your time and be CLEAN!

I had the stage 1 then had it modded to a stage 2. idle never was a problem. driving around it responds better because the psi is right there especially with the stage 2 it doesn't seem to have any lag on the pressure now. Be very careful if you mod your own it took several different variations on the FCA before mine would bring the idle psi down to stock levels.

I'm thinking about buying a stage 2 after I do my transmission in the spring. I drive my truck over 100 miles a day and I'm just wondering about drivablility. Thanks.

we have been running modded pumps on our trucks for over two years with no ill effects. we have also run dual pumps for a while now and again no issuses.

So if you do the fca and porting mods yourself, does that make it a stage on or two? If its a stage one, then what other mods are done for a stage two? The guys that modded their own, did you notice an increase in power? Was it worth the time to do it?

I really didnt notice a whole lot of anything when i did mine. Pretty much still seems normal. I think the factory pump in the tank (the one they just replaced) is weak, and as soon as Quad gets me an RPG that is fully functional I can verify that. FASS is going in next week regardless. .

I definitely noticed more fuel after I did the FCA mod. Settings that didn't smoke before started smoking, despite the fact that I increased my turbo boost at the same time. It was worth doing. That was with stock injectors.

I recently did the CP3 gear plate mod and a T&C wild fuel rail in conjunction with Flux 1 injectors and a rail pressure gauge. This combo can keep up with an Edge Juice on 5, but not with the Hot Juice. When my bank account recovers from this last round of mods I'll be going with a professionally modded CP3 pump -- probably a Floor-it Stage 2. I just don't see a need for twin CP3's with the relatively small injectors I'm using to control smoke.

Other than the fact that my tires keep breaking loose, there haven't been any driveability or noise issues with the mods I've done so far.

I've been running an industrial injection 33% modded, seems to help out the smarty and rail box especially on top end. haven't seen any ill effects of any kind
