I have read almost every post about Timbrens. The ones that seem to not like them on these trucks have the heavier set (8600) ones on their trucks. Am I correct on this. The truck is my daily driver if not delivering equipment, the last thing I want to do is beat myself up driving. So my question is 6000lb or 8600lb set? We haul around 12k on a 28 ft goose when we do haul. That is a max load usually the load is around 5k-6k.

Thanks for all the great info.

my Timbrens don't beat me up as they are set up with one inch gap. I have a stock ride when empty and when adding my 11000 lb 5er [1900 pin weight] they keep the rear from sagging. ... ... ... JIM

Do you have the 8600lb ones or the 6000lb rated ones? I believe someone said the 8600lb usually touch regardless of load.

no idea if mine are 6,000 or 8,600, initially they barely touched and it was a bit bouncy. I then called Timbren and they sent me a different bracket, I used the same rubber piece. This new bracket now give me about an inch of clearance.

I havn't seen the 8600/6000 number anywhere . This part description is on the invoice... A00550-65p30 AEON 550-65 ASSY p+w3/8. Your 4+4 should be a different part number... ... ..... JIM

I ordered mine about 6 mo ago The part no for my 04 3/4 ton 4x4 was DR3500CA. They came with a 1in shim that I didnt use as they would have been to tall and road on the axle all the time. I figured the shims were for a 1ton. I really like them!!
