GVRW 3500 dually/SRW

The way dodge words it, when you have a 3500 dually and then opt for the SRW you downrate the weight rating to 9900. Does this mean that if added duals to it later you would legally have the higher rating?

It's my understanding that you may not legally go beyond the factory weight ratings of the truck regardless of add ons.

Just go ahead and get the big guy with the 12. 5K GVWR and be done with it. The DRW has heavier duty brakes and has a wider exel much more stable IMO.

Here's the thing, I need cab space - AKA Megacab. With the rig I have now I would be within the specs of the 3500 megacab. IF I ever get a bigger rig then I might have problems. I would love a megacab dually (would be happy with either short or long bed), but it appears they aren't going to offer one... .

Ive we voice our opinions on what we want, they'll offer it. Im very happy with my SRW 04. 5 long bed, but would be sorley dissapointed if a long bed option wasnt offered in the new trucks if I decided to eventually upgrade.

Don't Dispair !

I have a feeling that we'll see a Mega-Cab with an8' bed and DRW in the future. Probably M. Y. 2007. At least that's my guess.
