Guys,

I need help getting the proper tie rod ends. Dodge is asking for the GVW of my truck to determine which parts to order. Problem is the body of the truck is long gone and I don't know what the GVW is. Here's what I do know. It was a 1990 long bed regular cab one ton 4x4 with a single rear wheel rear axle. What would the GVW be on this chassis?

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I believe that its 10,500. All the dana 60's in the diesel equiped trucks are the same so the dealer should have known that. Where they get confused is in the lighter duty gas trucks that are also supposedly 1ton but aren't really that have the HDdana 44.

If tie rods are what you need, and the vehicle is a W350 with the CTD engine, the front axle will be 4500 lb GVW. Tie rod part numbers are:

ES2010R right side

ES2010L left side

If the W350 did NOT come with the CTD, they may still be correct as these fit the Dana 60 front end. But, some W350's came with the Dana 44 (3500 lb) front axle, and those part numbers will be different.

Hope this helps.
