H.P. Question?!?!?

I just bought a 93 w/ a 5 speed. I tow all the time and tow anywhere from 3000 to 10000 pounds. My upgrades: bhaf, 4in exhaust, 16cm housing, smoke screw 2 turns, full power screw about 3/4 turn (thats as far as it will go w/o removing collar). I am not trying to make a hot rod just want to get to or a little above the hp of a 99 24v (235). How close do you think I am?? Thanks!!

You should be real close. You could pick up a little more with pump to engine timing - rotating your pump a little closer to the engine.

You can pick up a few more ponies (possibly) if you take the top off the AFC housing, and turn the tapered cone to where the "deep" side is toward the front of the engine. Moving mine from 1/2 to 3/4 max gave me 4psi extra boost, or about 40 engine hp. (Based on 1 psi boost=10 engine hp). I'll max it out tomorrow, and then probably turn the pump back a hair to cut pressures. I make 28 psi; am I at 280HP? (Does 83 (rpm limit) in a hair over . 2 mi. I'm thinking along the lines of 240Eng hp)

Might also try loosening the AFC spring tension; AKA turn the starwheel downward. The starwheel is the gear- looking thingie under the AFC housing; not the Torx bit with the jambnut on the outside of it.
