I am interested in purchasing some H2 wheels and have them machined to go on my 2005. What will be necessary to make them fit? Not including the price of the wheel, what can I expect to pay to make the wheels mount up? Thanks for any help.

Thanks a lot milehigh! Good looking truck you have.

Will I need to buy the center caps from a 2003-2004 truck to match the H2 wheel? Obviously the 2005 wheels are polished, and it doesn't look like the H2 wheel is.

Yes, you will need to buy the silver caps and then cut them down. The Tabs were the most fun of this project. They are tough little buggers.

Or use a 4. 5" grinder with a 40 grit flapper wheel. :D

I'm curious what a set of H2 Take off's are going for. I've got a chance to buy tires and wheels. I just want the tires for replacements.

Hummer dealers and aftermarket take off businesses are getting smarter. They realize that the tires are more valuable than the wheels. Figure on 500-600 for just the tires on E-Bay, 800 for both tires and wheels.

Yes, they are getting keen to the ideas. About a year ago, I found a set of 5 H2 rims about 200 miles from me on ebay and got all five of them w/H2 centercaps for $300 and I went and picked them up. I resold the H2 centers on ebay for $40. I bought a set of grey centers on ebay for what I sold the H2 centers for and broke even there. I used a bench grinder on the tabs and it worked great. Used my table saw for the plastic parts. I went ahead and waited through the nat'l backorder on the BFG's in 285/70 size. But by the time they finally came in (tirerack.com) I had sourced a local machine shop to do the machining ($25/wheel). So let's see, that adds up to $425 in the rims and I got the five tires for around $850 =$1275+/- . I then sold my five stock Michelin take off's for $500 on TDR Classifieds and the four stock chrome steel rims w/centers on ebay for $300. So, all told, I did the upgrade for around $475. It was very worth it to me, even though I rarely need an offroad tread design, it was the best BOMB I've done appearance wise to my truck. Be patient, some will show up.

i paid $20 a wheel no tires and put terragrappler 295/70/17 on with custom center caps and lugs you can see some picture on my web page.
