Got a new batch in my readers rigs gallery (new truck) for those interested. I like em and the new rims' offset cured the rubbing I had at full lock. Just need some kind of nameplate to go over the "HUMMER" on the front caps.

Bighammer,

Are you leveled in the front. It sure looks like it would rub on the rear of the fender.

How much machining did you have to do to the rim?

Are you going to try to fit the Dodge center cap on them?

interesting bighammer the h2 rims bolt patteren are the same. just curious since i own a h2 what mods did ya have to do if any besides the center cap on the rear. it looks real good.

You bought an h2 over a 3rd gen? :--) :(

The center hole of the H2 wheels is about 4. 5" and the Dodge's are 4. 75" so about an eighth of an inch is taken out around the center hole. It's really just removal of the raised ridge inside the hole. (I thought I had a before pic, but can't find it)

There is no lift on it at all. Stock suspension.

I had thought about modifying the 03 caps to fit, but since my 03 wheels went onto my 94, I wanted the caps to go on there. These will do until I find a set of 03 caps cheap. Some guys cut out the rim to recess the 03 caps into the rim. I didn't want to cut out any of the wheel so I would probably take off the edge of the cap. (would be about one inch-- Just about the whole straight side of the cap)

Gotten some interesting looks so far. Some thumbs up and some WTF's. :D

I like it. Probably can mount the air horns under the hood.

I'm not in too big of a hurry. If I can find a Dodge or Cummins nameplate to cover Hummer on the fronts, I'll keep it this way.

Now since the H@ is a 1/2 ton truck, and you put 1/2 ton wheels on your 3/4 or one ton truck!!! What do you think will happen if you overload thoes wheels!!!

Crack crack _-O- **!! is what would happen going down the e-way!!!!

Correct me if i am wrong they are 1/2 ton rated and the H2 wheels are also cast allum????

Empty, the H2 and our trucks are pretty similar weights. I asked my brother who is at GM to see if he could find specs on the load rating for the H2 wheels. They seem pretty hefty. The tires are not rated for as heavy a load as an E tire either so some some common sense in loading will have to be... . made common.

Well just be carefull , i did see some jack a55 pulling a tag that had to of had 2500# + toung weight and no weight bars, and a full load in the bed, 3/4 ton and you gussed it load range d tires and H2 wheels... . A nightmare weighting to happen, the tires were half flattned out from the weight, and this was at 70 MPH!!!!!

1/2 ton but why then 8 lug wheels like a 3/4 ton? i think the h2 is more akin to a 3/4 ton suburban than a 1/2 ton tahoe...
