what do yo uhave to do to run h2 wheels on a stock second gen, and will the 315-70-17 fit stock?

I think I may end up buying a chrome set. much cheaper than the alternatives

Have had a set on my truck for about a year now and love them. I have the 2 inch front coil spring spacers and they will rub once every few weeks on a hard turn and hitting a hole at the same time. If you are into some real off roading you may need a 4 inch lift to make it work. I run the cape cod over sand beach routes up and down dune trails with a heavy slide on camper with no problems. Also the 3. 54 gearing seems fine to me but im a slow poke on the road now in my old age. Dont forget the centers need to be reamed or cnc'd out to fit.

It's just under 1/8" that needs to be removed. I did mine with a DeWalt router pretty easily. To use your center caps though will also require some custom fitting. You need to trim about 1/2" from the plastic back edge and trim/clip to spring steel clips that secure the cap to the lugnuts. To me that was the biggest pain in the butt.

As for clearance, I put them on my stock 01' but had to remove my mudflaps. There really isn't proper clearance but I've been running them for about 6 months with only minor rubbing. (street driving only).

I got the rear hummer caps on a few months ago :D with a spacer made out of a small plastic paint pail (3. 00 each at home depot) cut down and painted silver to match. I can post some pics if any one is interested.
