I got 5 for $600! In LA they like their Hummers with 'bling'... . the wheels and tires are the first thing to go. I also like the fact that the H2 rims have less backspacing than the stock wheels, this covers my locking hubs and gives the truck a little wider stance.

It is a very simple operation to open the ctr hole I just used a router with a flush cut bit, spent about 45 seconds per wheel.

So what's the range of tire sizes that you can run on these wheels? Also wondering about the load rating for them, if there is one. TIA

I've been looking for a set of these also but was wondering what the difference in backspacing affects. Does the truck need to be aligned after the change, and how does it affect steering? I guess I am asking if there is any harm done by changing the steering geometry with a different backspaced wheel.

After inst. the D-25 springs (2in. leveling kit) and the H-2 wheels/tires, I took it to the alignement shop and they said it needed and did do an alignment on it. If you don't lift it, I think your tires will rub on the inside side walls on lock to lock turns. I would plan on an alignment with either one or both.

Affect steering ? The only thing I noticed is, with the wider tires it taxes the power steering unit. While sitting still and turning the steering wheel, you can tell the P. S. pump doesn't like it. As long you're moving, even a little, it's OK.

I would definately do it again.

Thanks Ray. Would the tires rub if they were stock size or only if they were larger, and if so how much larger?

I would probably run 285s and I don't want to lift it just to run those.

I have the 315/70/17 BFG on H2 rim set up on my 2500 w/ no lift and have no rubbing issues that I can find. I did not need an alignment on mine. I do find the extra mass causes a slightly longer braking distance. Highway RPM's decrease. I didn't notice a change in MPG up or down though. The truck will have a wider stance and without fender flares your truck will always be dirty. It's pretty sweet for the price though.

Allnew2me,

I don't know the details about the tire sizes, rubbing etc. I know the H-2 whls. are wider ( 8in. wide?) and dif. back spacing.

I have to tell you though just about everyone that gets them get new or almost new tires (315s) and chrome whls. for $700 to $900. I paid $680 on Ebay, picked them up 60 miles away, then paid my buddy $100 to bore them out. Just the new BFG 315s will cost you over $1200 + tx. and mnt. & bal.

IMO our trucks look much better with this set-up, much more proportionate.
