After installing the new turbo, and now intercooler, I have to say Holy Horse Hockey Batman, this thing runs like Batgirl looks #ad
I'm building 55# of boost and the thing will set you back in the seat all the way to 4000 RPM. Bottom end kinda sucks though, power doesn't really come on until 2500rpm. Piers is sending me one of his custom HX35s, which I'm going to mount in front of the H2E, I believe this should remedy the lower rpm boost problem.

Big_DQ,
So what are your egt's like, also how's the timming working out with the propane. I'm getting ready to set mine and I'm wondering if your getting any detination. You say you have it set at 17. 5 degrees, but how many mm's is that? The mech I've got to do mine said he had to convert it to mm's for what ever degree setting I wanted. I just do not know, so if I go into this knowning what setting I need I'll feel a lot better about somebody else working on my truck.
Sure sounds like your rig is running strong.
Let me know how the two turbos work out.

Thanks
Brian Cobb

Brian. I don't know what the EGT's are, my gauge only goes to 1500deg:eek; The timing is doing great, I have it set at 6. 1mm. I also had to drill the orifice in the propane system to get enough propane to feed my fire breathing dragon

You have a 215 hp pump, right? 6. 1 mm is about NINETEEN degrees #ad
Have you seen aluminum specks on your injector tips yet? Your engine has my sympathy. #ad
5. 52 mm = 16 degrees.

Joe, I tried to set the lift at 5. 6mm, and the truck ran as if it were retarded. So I called Piers to see if I had screwed up trying to find TDC. I did not trust the pin, so I tightened #1 intake valve a little, then barred the motor until it touched. I marked that spot on the balancer. then I barred it the other way till it touched again. marked that spot, then measured between marks. exactly halfway between was True TDC, or so I thought. Piers confirmed this was right. He suggested advancing timing until I got detonation, then backing off a few degrees. which is what I did. I then measured the lift and read 6. 1mm. The truck seems to run good at that lift. I guess only time will tell if I have screwed it up.
