That's another tool for the tool box. The one that I've used is hot melt glue. I keep a stick in all my tool bags along with in the truck. I know how waterproof you can make a connection due to the fact that I sealed the connections to my well pump with it many years ago! Still holding! When I'm making a harness up with heat shrink, I use this to seal the heat shrink and is cheaper than the stuff with it. First make the wire connection (soldering it of course), coat connection with hot melt glue, then slide heat shrink over splice and apply heat! Dozens of connections under my trailer without issues. Great to share ideas and tips to help us all! Enjoy your TRUCKS!
 
Both good tips. The plastic bag tip is always blowing in the wind, there's always one around. I really like the hit glue tip.
