Omaha Steaks...........

Well, I took this weekend to go to the coast and meet up with the girlfriend, and had a great time yesterday. . really great time. I took 3 coolers down there. I had my 140 qt "Coffin" that everyone knows, and had 2 other 50 qt coolers, one with sodas, one with just ice. The one with ice was so old and rickedy, that one handle was 8 ga power wire for a stereo amplifier, and it was cracked all the way down the side. My Coffin of course was where all the beer was, and this morning, I went out for a bottle of water, and all 3 are gone. Now I know that the big coffin was a workout to get out of the truck, but what infuriates me is that these kids (I know they had to be kids, I will get to that in a little bit) had the balls to get up into the back of my truck, as well as 4 other people's, and 2 boats, take all the food out, leave it out to go bad, and just take the coolers.

I know this is probably a pointless post, but my cooler, The "Coffin" was my everything. It has more sentimental value than anything. It's been just about everywhere you can think of going. I feel bad for the people whose coolers were taken from their boats, as on bay boats, the cooler is the actual seat.

I am now in the process of fabricating some type of cage or bracket that will prevent you from opening, removing, or tampering with the cooler. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I actually made a police report with the Sheriff's Department. I told the sheriff that my CH brand would be a dead giveaway, should they find it.

I just wish I was awake to stick one of my 125 grain arrows & arrowheads into the little punks leg or arm while they were stealing my baby. That's ok, Karma is going to be a mofo for them. It WILL indeed catch back up with them!

Sorry, just had to vent.

Chris, did they get your beer?

Don't sweat the chests though, you know as well as I do that it will come back on them, you don't have to do anything... ... that's the way the world works.

We were at the Kon Tiki Beach Resort in Rockport. It was a decent place, but mosquitos were really bad, and for the money that her folks forked out for the whole week, you figure that there would be an on site police officer. . Guess not.

Jim-

They got everything. . My big boy had all the beer in it, the silver cooler had sodas (about a case and a half of sodas), And my little blue cooler had nothing but ice in it... All gone. What amazes me is the fact that they had to be in the parking lot for a while, since they took like 7 coolers throughout the parking lot. I know it will come back to them, but I just hope that the police do a raid, and see a big white cooler with my "CH" Brand on there. . That would be totally cool to receive a call from the sheriff's dept. saying they have recovered my cooler... I know it's pretty far fetched from real, but strange things can happen sometimes. . Oh well, I just know not to stay at that place again... the Sheriff said he comes out there several times a month for the same thing... Pretty crappy, huh? Oh well, right? What can you do?

A cousin of mine had a Big marine cooler like you speak of with about 3 de-boned deer in it get yanked at a resttop, and Ive had beer coolers stolen out of my truck at Talladega during a race... . It sucks bad. . Hope you find the punks... .

OOOOOHHHH! Sounds like someone's in the market for a Fridge Freeze

#ad

Nothing like 26. 4 Gallons of ice-cold storage space! No ice required, runs off 12V, and only draws 2. 3-3. 8 Amps.

I think it would be better to be partying on a lake someday and the little thief's pull up next to you and start partying with your cooler next to them "Yea, that would be better" at least in my book. Man I would wip that ***. :-laf

:{ I feel your pain man. While in Alaska in the summer of 99 we were in a state park at Ninilchik on the Kenai penensula. It stayed daylight all night long and the little punks came up in broad daylight and stole my ice chest 2 (two of them) out of the back of my trk with a canopy installed. The one with the beer dissapeard, the one with the sodas we found about 100 ft up the rd with the sodas gone. My neighbor had his stolen along with some gas cans that he had just filled for his generator. Repoirted it to the camp host and they just shrugged their shoulders and said happens all the time.

I know if you shot the *******s you would go to jail for assault. Its just not fair!

Dave G.

It is messed up, but I will go to jail if I ever catch someone in the act doing that to my property. . but y'all as fellow TDR brothers and sisters have to promise to come see me when I am locked up for defending my own property!

-Chris-

Sorry to hear that.................

I felt the same way when my house was broken into about 2 years back.

In a strange sort of a way, I still think (hope) that they may come back while I'm here.

It wasnt "a priority" for the local sheriff to come out on the weekend to fingerprint for the home B&E, but if I run into them doing it again... you could rest assured the sheriff will be called in for that !!!!!!!!

I've thought it over many times... . and I already KNOW they'll attack me. :-laf

Eric

PS Kids nowadays could really use an asswoopin.

Mebbe you need to put a broken shafted short broadhead arrow into the cooler with all that beer. When the little ******* get theirs, you just say ''What cooler?''

stolen stuff

Plenty of stuff is taken and never recovered by the police . You can hope to spot your stuff in use by some one that stole it or sold, gave ,lent , it to the one that you see using it . Best have some mark ,paint ,scrape , sticker , dent. or other way to easy spot it ,best to have on more than one side all if possible . Also have a hidden place that you marked to prove your ownership a number, name ,etc. A walk through the area some time later (Same place) as most punks ,use the same parks ,camps ,beaches , etc. It may take some time and luck . Also most time the punks wait till every one is sleeping to there stuff Lock it up then get it out of sight . Ron Bissett in Metro Louisville KY . P. S Put reg. number on life jackets. on front of the vest they steal it they can not ware it. Got the idea. Oo.
