Took the beast in for the 3 recalls it had on it. Trackbar, which I knew was ok, re-flash ORC and ABS (R23) and re-route steering wheel wiring.

I was amazed it only took less then 2 hours. Re routing the wiring sounded like a project.

Anyone else had the same done ? What does the wiring call for, take old out?? new in??

I had planned on having them do a alignment but it was done so fast, I forgot about getting that done!! LOL

TIA

Do you have more info on the track bar recall? Friend has a '13 and is complaining about a rattle among other things.

I did my air bag wiring because the dealers had not received the rubber insulators yet. You just tie back the wiring so it can't rub on the air bag retainer spring. My air bag wiring was fine but the horn wire had made contact with the spring. The insulators add a little insurance that any contact will not be harmful.

I had these done, and was slightly annoyed about it, but for a reason I have to explain. My son decided to see if my passenger seat would touch the dash when fully forward, because, well, that's what kids do. Apparently a wire was in the seat track because it shorted out. Just so happened we were leaving for a cross country trip on New Years day when the service departments were closed, and it was stuck. So he had to sit there (because we had 4 people and a dog in the truck), for the first 1,000 miles until the next day where we had it fixed at a dealership somewhere in Texas. Well they fixed the wire quickly, but it took over 2 more hours to do these recalls. I didn't realize I had recalls at the time, but since I was in the middle of a cross country trip I would have much rather had the option of putting them off until I got home from my trip. To make matters worse, it was 27 degrees and cold and I had to wait outside the entire time because we had our dog with us so we couldn't go in the waiting room (60lb dog, not a purse dog).
