i have no idea what happened. i had just got done with some running around and parked it. the egt gauge kept rissing and i got out to see what was wrong and saw fire dripping down from the engine bay. so i got in and rolled it down the driveway away from the house and called 911.

it really broke my heart to see the truck go up in flames!!!!!

now i have to try to bring my powerjoke back from the dead so that i can have a ride.

Man thats sad to see such a sweet truck end up like that if you end up rebuilding it let me know I will look around in Calif for a parts truck . did it hurt the motor ? or is it a total loss ?

Having done a conversion into an older truck - and the amount of heart it takes to get them driving - I still cannot imagine going through this. Hang in there mplunk, hang in there...

well, i thought that i would post some more pics. i do have plans to rebuild. i know were there is a 90 diesel in the juck yard and i am going to see what the guy wants for the whole truck. donald and mark sorry that yall hard work went up in smoke! i will make it stronger,faster, were ther is a will there is a way. the powerjoke sure is sluggish after driving a cummins for two years!

there is a 92 around the corner from me its a 2 x guy said it ran but has 300,000 miles body wise its in pretty good shape if you want i can check on it and get a price it also has a 5 sp let me know Ide be happy to help a fellow crewbrother out

That makes me want to cry. I have a wrecked 93 cab in my back yard that I have pulled what I need off of. If you want ANY interior parts (dash/ wiring ect?) they are yours for the taking. Just come and get them.

rebel ram that is a heck of an offer and like earlkann said i am in tennessee and that would be a bit far. as far as the cause of the fire there is no telling. near as i can figure is that on of the a/c lines busted and it caused it. there is no way of knowing for sure. i think that i have found a donor rig to get the stuff that i need. it is a 90 model dually with 130 on the clock. it has a flat bed and is a standard shift. might just go ahead and convert the crew to a stick. i have not started on the disassemble yet.
