Had a wreck this weekend

Zoom in on the front tire. It's not odd shaped like it would be if it was sitting on the ground. And the front axle is hanging down about right. If someone did a photo crop they sure went to alotta trouble.

Did get word from the Insurance company today, and they want to fix it. Kinda surprised me alittle. Looking at about $4,000-$5,000 in repairs and the truck booked out at around $10,000 (Which is what I paid for it acouple years ago). Only bad news is it'll take about a month maybe two to get it fixed (The joys of living in a small town w/ one body shop).

I'm also glad to hear that no one was hurt or worse. Too bad you lost your truck though, I would die if that happened. I have to admit though and to be fair to y-knot, if he was not bashing, I too thought when I first read your post I thought you meant you knew the brakes were bad, of course I don't know you so I had no idea if you would do that or not. Going back and reading it again I realized that was not the case. Anyway once again I am glad no one was hurt and wish you good luck in replacing your truck.

Sorry didn't see your post about repairing it, well good luck on that too, I used to work for a body shop and I know how long it can take to repair that kind of damage.

Update: Been about a month since I got the truck back and everything but the doom light is as good as new. I have yet to figure out why the dome light stays on all the time now tho (disconnected at the moment so it wont drain the battery). El-cheapo brake controller well shortly be replaced by a Jordan Ultima (got tired of waiting for a Brakesmart) and some new wiring (old one was only putting out a very small amount out of voltage to the plug). Picked up a B&W flip over gooseneck ball for the bed for free.
