One of my subcontractors got his Duramax stuck while cleaning up the aftermath of our little snowstorm here in Grand Rapids. After working all night to clear drive and lots, I was about 3 miles from home when he called for help.

I agreed to drive back in to town to tug him out, but insisted on getting pictures of my CTD hooked to his Durastuck:D

Unfortunately, no camera could be found.

Ah, well, life goes on.

The sun is out, snow has stopped, and we have time to put equipment back together. What fun!!

I just seen a pretty new red one at the alignment shop with a brand new plow. The guy looked kinda peeved, come to find out he had to jack the front torsion bars up cause the front-end was bottomed out, said it was almost to the stops empty. Heavy duty my arse:rolleyes: I still don't think I. F. S. belongs on a 3/4 or 1 ton... Doug

Got the chance to visit DTT and meet Bill Kondalay this last Tuesday. He showed me five FRIED Dura-Max Allison trannies that he is going to look at to see if He can do them better! The visit was a REAL treat.

I tried getting a duramax out of the snow. At the time I didn't know it was even a diesel. It was o degrees outside with a 35 mph wind from the north. He was shivering and really cold. I asked him why isn't your truck running? You could go in and warm up a while. He tells me that it is running. Its a quiet diesel he says. Oh a duramax I replied. :(
