Just recieved my new Hadley Bully air horns and I have no idea where they should be mounted:confused: I know there are a number of folks who have the Hadley's installed and I was hoping that someone could tell me where they have their horns, compressor and tank mounted! I am "VERY" electrically challenged:confused:, I would be willing to pay to have the horns installed provided I could find someone with experience here locally in the San Jose CA area. I don't know of any good shops and I'm not inclined to let the dealer mess with it. Hate to sound like a complete moron, just scared to death I'lll damage something that will be $$$$ to fix. I need a good source in the area anyhow as I'm purchasing my guages and back up lights this week.

Thanks in advance fellas

Dave

If you can follow instructions you can do the job, their not bad to do. I mounted my air horns behind the bumper on the driver's side, there is a crossmember that already has one hole on it, just drill one more. The air tank I mounted on the bumper passenger side also on the crossmember as far up you can, there's also one hole there and you have to drill the second one. The compressor I took it off the bracket it came with and with two radiator hose clamps I strapped it just below the air tank on the same crossmember. I put some cut heater hose under it to insulate the compressor from the crossmember. I'm sure if you decide to do it your self and post questions if you need help someone will help, good luck,

Fred.

My Hadley horns are mounted on the bottom of the front cross-member, where I opened up an existing hole. Both the compressor and tank are mounted to the outside of the right hand frame, just past the cab. I mounted my tank vertically so I could incorporate a drain valve. Some have mounted all to the cross-member behind the bumper. Do a search and you should get some creative ideas:D

The installation is pretty sight forward and the instructions are good.

Hadleys

I'll try and make the meeting. Just had a kidney stone removed and feel like hell.

If all else fails I'll take them to Camper World to have them installed.

Campers World

If you use the Campers World near Gilroy, make damn sure they understand what you want them to do. I just wasted the better part of a day because the guy scheduling work had no idea of what was involved in the work I needed.

Hadleys

Not going to be able to make the Ramrunners meeting on Tuesday nights until December, I have a class that night. Think I'm going to give this a shot myself. Can anyone provide pictures of where thay have their horn, tank and compressor mounted? Do I need to take the bumper off to get to the aforementioned cross members? Where do I tap to get the 12+ power? I would like to use the horns in conjunction with the OEM's. How would I wire that up?

Sorry for all the dumb questions, I don't know what the hell I'm doing so I need a little advice.
