OK guys I've developed a trans fluid leak up front, where is a good shop to take it? it ALMOST seems like the power steering pump but im not sure if its the lines or the pump... .



I dont have time durring the week and I want it done right the first time. this is my daily driver for now so im stuck. Diesel Performance shut the doors so im screewd in this area

I am doing ok I think. What was TJ’s time in the 1/4 mile? Why is she looking for a broom handle? Did she throw a rod or just burn the broom up? pics of my dilema



the green arrow is the pitman arm looking up at the PS pump(long green arrow). The bottom pic is the bottom of the pump. I checked the fluid after work and its good, I checked the trans fluid just before I took the pics and its in the green.



It just started since I noticed that the bottom of the truck was still pretty dry but after a 40 min drive to work it was getting worse.



Lately Ive noticed my trans temp running 180 after 10 min stops and it usually doesnt do this it stays at 150 unless Im plowing or towing in the heat. I talked with Greg (Great Lakes Diesel Works GREG LONG) and he advised me to check the cooler and its getting pretty beat up from bugs/debris. I washed it out from behind and yet it didnt help. I was thinking of replacing it.....



Chaz, mark any ideas?

It looks like more than one leak but not sure. Hey Ian where is Pittsford at? I could meet some place and look at it for you. You could have leaking Tran’s lines in the one pic it looks like it is rubbing on the frame. Are you sure it is Tran’s fluid? We put ATF +4 Tran’s fluid in the power steering as well. I wish I was close because at this time it’s a guess hate to say it. You could wash it down with some engine or brake cleaner. Always start at the highest point of a leak then work your way down.

i dont want to step on chaz's feet but i would meet you somewhere also. i might be closer. whoever you want to meet. if you checked to p/s fluid and it hasnt gone down i would suspect the trans lines also. i think mine looks similiar i will look at them today and give you a call. mine are kinda wet but not too bad.

The truck has always been dry other than the common oil pan sepage and vent bottle issue.



Ill be out of town for the next week but I might be heading to Farmington Hills next to pick up a B&W hitch over the weekend (If drew remembers to bring it this weekend) so that appears close to Chesterfield if the dates work out.



Pittsford 49271 is about the middle of the state and south of jackson (127 & 94) 40 min



I finally bought a car to go from work and back so the truck can sit
