Hankook 35x12.50r17 E rated

I have not heard mention of this tire yet on the Register, so this may be news. I am not familiar with Hankook tires. Yes, I am pretty sure they are made in Korea. My friend manages a Dicount Tire and says he has had no problems with their high performance (car) stuff. I am scheduled to get a set mounted up tomorrow. I don't really have any other options besides going with the Interco TrXus again, but I will go ahead and ask for opinions/experience anyways . . .

I haven't run that particular tire, but I have had several sets of Hankook passenger tires and one set of LT tires that are still running on our church van.



I never had any problems. They seem to be high quality.



I have run BF Goodrich, Goodyear, Michelins, and my favorite - Yokohamas.

Which Hankook are you getting? I am looking at the M/T RT03 in 315/70-17. I was also looking at the Interco's you have/had. How well did the Interco's last and is there a big difference in price between the two? We use Hankook's on the farm and seem to last pretty good(nothing last's very long). Thanks.

The Interco TrXus tires started cupping pretty early - whether because of bad balancing or bad tires it is hard to tell. Once they started wearing funny, it was all over quickly. The TrXus were great off-road, and even had good grip on the street. They just did not survive long on the street. Two of them are very un-round and worn out at about 10k miles.

Be careful with the Hankook sizes - the 315 is equivalent in size to the 35, but the 35 is E rated where the 315 is D rated. As mentioned, I will be getting the E rated 35.

I think I'm missing something. I found the 315 and they say have a D rating if I'm reading the PDF file correctly. The 35" tire is a LT rating.

Look a little lower on the PDF file - the next set shows an E-rated 35/12. 50/17...



I already called my tire guy and will have a price tomorrow...

I'm going to be ordering a set of these pretty soon. They look to be a good affordable option, hopefully they will turn out to be a good tire. 230 each at discount tire

I won two new 315/70/17 on e-bay for a total of $170 :--) , a month ago! So I bought two more. I'm waiting on some wheels, so I haven't tried them yet, but a local tire guy has sold some and says they're great. My 01 had D rated tires, so I think my 05 will be alright with a 3,195 lb rated tire. I've put some pictures in my Gallery.
